Getting to the Island

Aruba is easy to reach, thanks to more than 100 non-stop flights from major gateways in the U.S., Latin America and Europe. The island is approximately four hours from New York tri-state area airports and just two-and-a-half hours from Miami International Airport. Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa is located approximately ten minutes by taxi from Aruba’s Queen Beatrix International Airport; a taxi fare for two averages $25 US. Taxis are readily available.

Currently, American Airlines serves Aruba daily from Miami, Charlotte and Philadelphia. Delta Airlines has daily flights from Atlanta and New York JFK

North America – American Airlines, Delta, jetBlue, Southwest, Air Canada, Spirit and United Airlines

Europe – KLM and TUI

Latin America – Avianca, Copa Airlines and Wingo

At the airport, you will find convenient taxi service available at a fare of approximately $35 per cab ride plus surcharges for holidays, Sundays and extra luggage.

The one-way trip from the airport will take about 15 minutes. If you wish to rent a car, we suggest doing so via our resort concierge. Manchebo offers free parking.

English and Spanish is spoken everywhere. The official local language is Papiamento and Dutch.

Dollars are accepted in all stores and restaurants on the island.

The local currency is the Aruban Florin which has a fixed exchange rate with the US Dollar of Afl.1.75 / US$1.00

When visiting natural areas as well as cultural and historical sites on guided tours, it is advisable to wear a shirt, shorts, skirt, trousers and shoes.

Church dress code on island is no caps, no sleeveless shirts and no shorts/skirts.
